Harley's Haven Dog Rescue

Raya has come such a long way in her foster home after being rescued — along with 28 other dogs — from a hoarding situation in Philadelphia. Many of the other dogs have already found their forever homes… and now it’s Raya’s time to shine!

 

Raya is about 8 months old and is a Chihuahua mix. She is extremely nervous in new situations and will need time, patience, and a very understanding adopter. Adults can be scary for her at first — but her sweet personality truly shines around children. She absolutely adores the kids in her foster home. 🤍

 

She enjoys running around when she feels safe and is also perfectly content snuggling on the couch. Raya is not a hiking buddy — she’s more of a homebody who thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She is still learning to go outside and can be a bit of a flight risk, so a secure home and careful transitions will be very important. She does great using pee pads and is currently working on crate training — and she’s doing wonderfully so far!

 

Raya’s perfect home will be patient, gentle, and willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe. With love and consistency, she is going to blossom into an incredible companion.
