Meet Brownie!

This sweet 8yr boy was surrendered by his family to the shelter due to allergies after owning him his whole life. I’m sure he was confused and didn’t quite understand what was going on. Thankfully we had a foster who said YES! so we could pull him from the shelter. Brownie has settled into his foster home and is doing great! Brownie is currently living with two other dogs and gets along well with them. His foster parents say he’s a sweet playful boy. He loves giving kisses, snuggling and cuddling. He has great energy and would do great with another playful dog but could also be an only. He is obedient, potty and crate trained. He is a little nervous when meeting people but quickly warms up to them. His foster parents recommend keeping him on leash while outside until he feels safe and comfortable with his new surroundings. Did I mention how well he walks on a leash?

Unfortunately since coming to the rescue, Brownie has started having seizures. We now suspect this may have been part of the reason that he was surrendered...the poor boy. He has been started on seizure medications and is adjusting well so far, and we are committed to making sure our boy does well long-term! He is otherwise healthy, so we are hopeful his seizures manage well long-term, but his new family will need to be comfortable taking this on and managing it for him!
