Meet Brownie — proof that “senior” is just a number! 🤎 At 9–10 years young, Brownie is still a spunky, playful guy who loves walks, other dogs, and keeping his foster family laughing with his goofy personality. 😂 Brownie LOVES other dogs and would be happiest with a friendly canine companion. Cats, however, are far too exciting for him, so a cat-free home is a must. Brownie was surrendered to a Philadelphia shelter after developing seizures. Harley’s Haven gave this older guy a second chance, and thankfully, his seizures are now very well controlled with daily medication. His adopter will need to continue his medication and routine bloodwork about twice a year. Brownie was previously adopted, but the home wasn’t the right fit. This time, we’re determined to find his forever match. He needs an experienced, confident adult home that understands he still needs exercise, attention, enrichment, and time to settle in. He can be sensitive when startled and may reflexively nip, so respecting his boundaries and reading his cues is important. Underneath all his quirks is a silly, affectionate dog with so much life and love left to give. 🥹🤎
