Meet Nugget 💛

Some dogs come into your life quietly. Nugget didn’t. He came with a deadline. We pulled him from euthanasia at ACCT Philly, and there truly aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are that we made it in time. Because once you meet him, you realize — this is a dog the world simply could not afford to lose. Nugget has the sweetest, softest heart. He loves being close to his people, the kind of closeness that speaks to how deeply he bonds. He greets the morning like it’s the best part of his day and celebrates your return home with pure, unfiltered joy. His happiness is genuine, and it’s impossible not to feel it too.

He’s also a very smart boy. Nugget already knows commands like sit, down, stay, come, wait, off, paw, and even high five. He’s wonderfully polite with routines, patiently sitting by the door waiting for his “ok,” and he genuinely enjoys his walks — especially when he gets to move along nicely by your side.

And a little important Nugget trivia: his pictures can be deceiving! He may look smaller in photos, but Nugget is actually quite a big boy — very tall and around 75 lbs of handsome, lovable dog.

He enjoys rope toys, enrichment games, and being wherever his people are. He’s observant, curious, and good with other dogs, too. Like many happy, enthusiastic pups, Nugget can get a little mouthy when he’s excited, but he responds beautifully to gentle guidance. Nugget is everything we hope for when we say “second chance.” We are so incredibly happy we could save him. Now he’s just waiting for someone to see him, love him, and make him theirs forever.
