Y'all... Dixie is just DARLIN'! 😍😍

 

This breathtakingly beautiful Foxhound is only about 40 pounds, which means she's pocket-sized by hound standards. She's got the cutest happy-go-lucky personality, a constant wagging tail, and enough enthusiasm for life to make you smile every time you look at her!

 

Dixie loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy of her own. She has a very special bond with her shelter bestie turned foster brother, Gibson, so finding them a forever home together would be a dream come true.

 

She spends her days romping around the fenced yard, playing chase, and carrying toys everywhere. One of the funniest things she does is toss her toys up in the air and catch them herself. She'll entertain herself for ages, which is adorable, but also a little bittersweet because we suspect she spent much of her previous life having to do just that alone 😞 Dixie is very friendly, affectionate, athletic, and just plain fun to be around! She is a really genuinely nice dog. It is pretty clear Dixie wasn't raised as a house dog, but she’s learning and loving it! She spent much of her former life outdoors as a breeding dog. But now that she's discovered couches, it is game over — This girl is a professional cuddlebug and thinks curling up next to her people is one of life's greatest things. Dixie is looking for a family that is active and enjoys having fun outside, and then loves to come home and pile on the couch together! She gets along beautifully with other dogs, but cats are a no for this little lady.
