Lab Mix

Meet Nash ❤️

Nash found himself in a loud, overwhelming shelter when sadly, his owner passed away and family was unable to care for him. A shelter is no place for a senior dog, especially one who is grieving such a big loss. Thankfully, one of our fosters stepped up to give him a safe, quiet place to land while he waits for his next chapter. Nash is a 10-year-old lab mix with a friendly, easygoing personality. He’s a smart, loving boy who just wants to be near his people and feel safe again. He’s settling into a routine and doing really well. Nash will bark when he needs to go outside and even taps his water bowl when he wants a refill, which is honestly pretty impressive. He also knows how to “sit pretty” (or pray), which is just as cute as it sounds. Nash has lived with dogs, kids, and cats. His ideal home would include another kind canine companion to keep him company. That said, he could also do well as an only dog in a home where someone is around most of the time, works from home, or can include him in daily activities. Like many dogs who have been through loss, Nash is working through some separation anxiety, but he’s already making great progress. He’s not a fan of the crate, but he settles nicely when given a comfortable space like a gated room. Having companionship, whether human or canine, really helps him feel secure. Nash is looking for a calm, loving home where he can settle in, feel safe, and be someone’s loyal companion again. He has a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful addition to the right home.
