Words can’t describe how absolutely beautiful Darwin is❤️ Darwin is a 3-year-old, sturdy American Foxhound around 65lbs. with the most incredible amber eyes — the kind that look right at you and somehow reach straight into your soul. And thankfully, the dog behind those beautiful eyes is every bit as wonderful. Darwin is a total LOVEBUG. He adores people and has never met a person, young or old, that he doesn’t love. He’s snuggly, affectionate, sweet as can be, and absolutely fantastic with other dogs. But don’t let those soulful eyes fool you… Darwin is also very much a rough-and-tumble hound guy🤣 He loves to romp, play with toys, tear around the yard, explore the garden and get himself nice and dirty like a farm boy! He’s silly, playful, energetic and always ready to have some fun. Darwin’s ideal home is with an active family who loves to get out and DO things — walks, hikes, adventures, exploring — but also appreciates a big hound snuggled up beside them when the day is done❤️ If you already have another dog, Darwin will be THRILLED to meet them! He absolutely loves other pups and would have a blast having a canine buddy to romp around with. Darwin would be a great candidate to go to a dog-daycare too, since he is a superstar and would thrive having opportunities to keep playing and socializing with other dogs. He is truly fantastic with other pups! A securely fenced yard would be wonderful for him because hounds love to run and explore, and once that nose turns on, sometimes the rest of the brain clocks out😂 But an active family committed to giving him plenty of walks, exercise and adventures could be a great fit too. Darwin is everything that makes hounds such incredible companions. He’s loyal, goofy, social, affectionate, adventurous, sweet and almost unfairly handsome. He’ll hike with you, play with you, get mud on his paws, make you laugh… and then curl up next to you like the world’s biggest baby. Darwin is just one of those really, really good dogs. ❤️🐾
