Meet Chief!
50% English Bulldog, 50% house goblin! Chief joined us a few weeks ago after being surrendered to a shelter. His skin was in rough shape when he arrived, but with some TLC, he settled into his foster home, got his mojo back, and has shown everyone what a hunk he is! Chief, who we estimate to be between 5-7 years old, is in surprisingly great shape for a bulldog. His top speed is approximately half a mile per hour unless he hears a treat bag crinkle. Then, somehow, physics no longer applies! Chief doesn’t just like snacks…he loves them with his entire wrinkly heart! He can be a little enthusiastic when accepting treats so he would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids. When he isn’t eating or snoring like a freight train, Chief can be found making tiny gremlin noises to let you know dinner is exactly three seconds behind schedule. He enjoys patrolling the yard with his five resident foster siblings at a brisk bulldog shuffle which is slightly faster than standing still. Going outside is optional in Chief’s opinion. Sometimes it takes a treat to convince him the yard is worth visiting. Once he’s out there, he has a great time. Returning to the couch, with a toy in his mouth, remains his true passion. Chief is housebroken, gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, and has yet to meet a person he doesn’t adore. Cats are technically an unknown, but chasing one would require a level of commitment we’re not convinced he possesses.
