Meet Baloo!

 

Baloo is a 13 week old mixed breed female who is anything but a laid back bear! She loves to be on the go and is full of energy, personality, and affection. Baloo always wants to be right by your side and is never shy about letting you know what’s on her mind. When she finally slows down, get ready for some impressive snoring.

She’s a smart, food motivated girl who is picking things up quickly! Potty training is a work in progress, especially with winter weather, but she is doing well using pads indoors. With her loving nature and loyal personality, Baloo is sure to make an amazing best friend for a very lucky person!

Baloo sustained an injury prior to arriving at the shelter that resulted in a degloving wound to her lower jaw/lip area. She first went to one of our rescue partners, where their veterinarian attempted a repair before she joined us. Unfortunately, the repair did not hold, which we discovered after she arrived in our care. The area has since healed well and does not cause her any pain or difficulty eating! It has simply left her with a very prominent lower lip, which is purely cosmetic. A future repair may be considered once she is a bit bigger but it does not affect her quality of life.
